Experience Khao Sok National Park in a different way on an afternoon-to-evening adventure from Khao Lak: bamboo rafting by day, jungle trekking in the cooler afternoon, and wildlife searching as the rainforest comes alive at dusk.
After hotel pickup at midday, travel through the dramatic landscapes of Khao Sok, surrounded by rainforest-covered mountains and limestone scenery.
Begin with a peaceful bamboo rafting journey on the Sok River. Drift along the river with a local raft guide while watching the forest and riverbanks for birds, monkeys and other wildlife, and stop for a relaxing riverside break with freshly prepared bamboo coffee. After the rafting, visit the Monkey Temple, where monkeys live around the temple grounds.
Continue into Khao Sok National Park for a guided jungle trek through tropical rainforest. Expect about 4 hours of trekking over uphill and downhill terrain, so this is a genuinely active walk rather than a short nature stroll. Along the route, stop at Wing Hin Waterfall, where conditions may allow time to cool off.
As daylight fades, the atmosphere of the forest changes. With flashlights provided, continue into the twilight and early evening, watching and listening for animals that become more active after sunset, including monkeys, snakes, insects and other forest wildlife. Sightings are natural and cannot be guaranteed. A Thai set dinner is included before the return transfer to Khao Lak, with arrival back at your hotel around 20:00.
Good to know: this Khao Sok jungle trek runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with a maximum of 12 guests. The minimum is 2 guests per departure; single travellers can still book, and we confirm on WhatsApp whether other guests are joining that day or offer another date that is already confirmed. Children aged 4 to 11 join at the child price and children under 4 join free. This is a physically active jungle tour with several hours of walking over uneven, uphill and downhill terrain. It may not be suitable for pregnant guests or travellers with mobility, heart, back or other medical conditions that could make extended trekking unsafe. Khao Sok is a wild natural environment: routes may be changed if guides identify wildlife or trail conditions that could create a safety risk, and alternative activities may be arranged when necessary.
